I know exactly how you feel. Chicken (my yorkie) was taken away from me unexpectedly while I was out of town 4 years ago. He wasn’t even a year old. I cried every day for 2 months. (I cried a LOT less when I left my then fiance). Try to cherish your memories. It gets easier, eventually. {hugs}
